Hammers 4-16X40FFP side focus scope is of first focal plane design and is built with lockable target turret and a strong glass etched range finding reticle which center small cross can be illuminated in Red or Green light (when illumination is not on, all reticle lines are in black. As magnification power changes, the reticle lines get heavier when power goes up and lighter when power goes down. Quick jumbo side focus wheel is mounted to the side of turret for easy access without the need to move your eye away from the target. Premium quality multi coated lens. Black flip-open lens covers.
Reticle has cross lines which has 0.5Mil increments. With zoom wheel set at a chosen high power when you can see the target in detail and the same time hold your scope steady for reading, range to the target of known size can be estimated using the reticle lines.
